My film essay I felt was the weaker of the two essays. Upon receiving the grade, this was shown with a M6 grade. The comments show how my analysis is good and I am answering the question well but the only feedback was to include a few more techniques to prove my point. For future essays i will make sure to actually name the technique rather than just incorporate to make it clear to the marker that I have included them. I will also make sure to find a few more to include.

Exam Reflection
What went well? I feel as though my time management went well as I had approximately an hour on each paper. The questions which I was hoping for were there in my essays so I was easy able to adapt the points I had prepared. I remembered my quotes quite well and my film techniques so was able to give evidence.
What was challenging? For me, unfamiliar text was the most challenging as i could not have points planned. Looking for a deeper meaning to the texts was a bit of a struggle although I did remember to put in techniques.
What do you feel you need to do going forward…? I think I need to focus on answering the question better, not just rambling on, rather just focusing on the relevant points and evidence. I also need to try and get a bit faster on the essays so i have more time for unfamiliar which i struggle with.
